1. Overview

The National University of Singapore Guangzhou Research Translation and Innovation Institute (NUS GRTII), a collaboration between NUS, the People’s Government of Guangzhou Municipality, and the China-Singapore Guangzhou Knowledge City Administrative Committee, is the university’s flagship initiative in China’s Greater Bay Area.

This NUS Guangzhou Research Translation and Innovation Institute Masters’ Scholarship is sponsored by Guangzhou's Huangpu District and aims to leverage the world-class educational resources of the National University of Singapore to cultivate highly qualified master's degree holders with a global perspective and cutting-edge technological knowledge.

As one of the first national-level economic and technological development zones, Huangpu District in Guangzhou specializes in seven industries: Smart City, Information and Communication, Electronic Science and Technology, Advanced Manufacturing, Artificial Intelligence, Biological Sciences and Financial Technology. It hosts leading high-tech companies like Xpeng Motors, CVTE, BeiGene, and WeRide, along with numerous research institutes, offering extensive career development opportunities for our talents.

The scholarship is open to NUS postgraduate students enrolled in the 15 master's programs listed in Table 1 for the academic year 2024/2025 (August intake). Each scholarship provides a tuition subsidy of S$45,000. Recipients will complete their studies at the National University of Singapore. Upon graduation, they will be required to return to the Huangpu District to work or start a business for at least two years.

2. Eligibility

· AY2024/2025 (August Intake) enrolled postgraduate students under one of the NUS GRTII’s Masters’ Scholarship affiliated Masters’ Programmes.

· Sign a service bond agreement with Guangzhou Development District Talent Work Group to work for at least two years in Huangpu District of Guangzhou City upon graduation.

· Be proficient in Chinese.

The applicant will submit their NUS GRTII Masters' Scholarship Application Form online and submit the required supporting documents in PDF format by email to uprbox34@nus.edu.sg .

· Official Transcripts reflecting the cumulative Grade Point Average (GPA) (English version).

· Undergraduate Degree Scroll.

· Other supporting documents, including any major achievements, awards and prizes received, etc., if applicable.

4. Award Amount:

Each scholarship recipient will receive a lump sum of S$45,000. 

5. Terms & Conditions

Scholarship recipients are required to meet all ongoing and graduation criteria of their master’s programs. Failure to comply will lead to the forfeiture of their scholarship.

Scholarship recipients are required to sign a service bond with Guangzhou Development District Talent Work Group and commit to fulfilling the service bond to work for at least two (2) years in Huangpu District of Guangzhou City upon graduation. Scholarship recipients may be self-employed, employed under government or any business entities.

新加坡国立大学广州创新研究院硕士奖学金计划 (2024/2025学年)

一、奖学金计划概述：

新加坡国立大学广州创新研究院由广州市人民政府、中新广州知识城管委会和新加坡国立大学三方精诚合作共建，是新国大参与大湾区建设的旗舰项目。

新加坡国立大学广州创新研究院硕士奖学金由广州市黄埔区提供，目标是依托新加坡国立大学丰富的优质教育资源为广州市黄埔区培养和输送具有全球视野、掌握最新精深科技知识、能充分应对21世纪挑战的高素质硕士人才。

作为首批国家级经济技术开发区之一，广州市黄埔区的产业聚焦智慧城市、信息和通讯、电子科技、先进制造、人工智能、生物科学、金融科技等七大产业，拥有小鹏汽车、视源科技、百济神州、文远知行等优质高科技企业，以及众多科研院所，为莘莘学子提供了广阔的事业发展空间。

2024/2025学年，该奖学金将开放给表一所列15个于2024年8月入学的新加坡国立大学硕士项目在籍学生申请。其项下的所有学习任务将在新加坡国立大学完成。该奖学金的获得者须和广州开发区人才工作集团签署人才服务协议，承诺硕士毕业后将回到广州市黄埔区服务（创业或就业）至少两年。

· 2024/2025学年（2024年8月入学）表一所列新加坡国立大学硕士项目在籍学生。

· 同意与新加坡国立大学广州创新研究院指定的广州开发区人才工作集团签署新加坡国立大学广州创新研究院奖学金人才服务协议，毕业后在广州市黄埔区服务（创业或就业）至少2年。

· 精通中文。

（一）申请时间：2024年8月5日起至8月12日

（二）申请流程：

申请人需填写《新加坡国立大学广州创新研究院硕士奖学金申请表》，将填写好的申请表在线提交，并将相关的电子版申请材料发送至 uprbox34@nus.edu.sg。

（三）申请材料：

· 官方认定的本科成绩单（英文版），需体现平均学分绩点（GPA）。

· 本科学位/毕业证书。

· 若在学术、学业方面曾获得重大荣誉和奖项，如奖学金、学科竞赛等，请提供相关证明文件。

四、资助金额:

每位成功申请并承诺履行奖学金相关义务的奖学金得主将一次性获得高达45,000新币的奖学金。

五、奖学金得主义务

· 奖学金得主需符合硕士在读期间学校的相关要求，并达到硕士毕业要求。未能符合要求者将被取消奖学金资格。

· 奖学金得主毕业后须在广州市黄埔区工作（包含全职创业、就业）至少2年。
