7th International Symposium on Multimodal Transportation (ISMT 2025)

The NUS GRTII is pleased to host the 7th International Symposium on Multimodal Transportation in Guangzhou, China. The primary objective of ISMT is to provide a unique opportunity and a collaborative platform for participants from universities and industries to share knowledge and exchange ideas on state-of-the-art research and research translation in multimodal transportation. The theme of ISMT 2025 is “Research Translation and Innovation in Multimodal Transportation”. We warmly welcome scholars and practitioners with different backgrounds to participate in and contribute to ISMT 2025.

The NUS Guangzhou Research Translation and Innovation Institute (NUS GRTII) is a collaborative initiative established by the People’s Government of Guangzhou Municipality, the China-Singapore Guangzhou Knowledge City Administrative Committee, and the National University of Singapore (NUS). As a flagship project of NUS’s engagement in the development of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, it aims to provide strategic talent resources and intellectual support for regional development. NUS GRTII leverages NUS’s technological achievements to incubate enterprises, promote the innovative translation of international technological results, drive industrial restructuring and upgrading, and simultaneously facilitate the bilateral exchange of talents, technologies and startups between Singapore and China.

Call for papers published in June 2025
We are pleased to announce that the official call for papers is now open and we look forward to receiving your contributions. The call is available in the corresponding section of this website.
The aim of ISMT 2025 is to promote challenging research arising from “Research Translation and Innovation in Multimodal Transportation”. The topics are related to the state-of-the-art technologies and methodologies for modeling, computing, learning, simulating, and optimizing multimodal transportation systems, and research translations and practices in multimodal transportation. The proposed topics include, but are not limited to, the following:
The ISMT 2025 manuscript templates are designed to ensure a uniform format for all conference papers.
Both abstract-only (800 words+) and full-paper submission are welcome. Note that only full-paper submission that presented in ISMT 2025 will be recommended for our special issues after peer review and considered for the best paper award.

Selected papers for the full-version submission will be recommended to be published in special issues of Transportation Research Part C, Multimodal Transportation, and Computers & Industrial Engineering .
