I. Introduction

Founded in 1905, the National University of Singapore (NUS) is Singapore's leading world-class university. NUS GRTII is a collaborative initiative established by the People's Government of Guangzhou Municipality, the China-Singapore Guangzhou Knowledge City Administrative Committee, and the National University of Singapore. As a flagship project of NUS's engagement in the development of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, it aims to provide strategic talent resources and intellectual support for regional development. Up till now, it has secured remarkable achievements in terms of research translation, innovation and entrepreneurship, and talent development. In February 2025, NUS GRTII was approved to establish a national-level postdoctoral research workstation branch, to make breakthroughs in cutting-edge fields such as artificial intelligence applications, smart cities, information and communications, electronic technology, advanced manufacturing, and biological sciences. With a core goal of promoting the translation and industrial application of technological achievements and a focus on greater synergy between industry, academia, and research, NUS GRTII has gathered more than 50 professors from NUS as principal investigators, to provide strong intellectual support for its development.

III. Frontier Laboratories

1. Intelligent Systems Laboratory: Focusing on technological innovation and industrial application of intelligent systems in multiple fields such as intelligent control and space-time intelligence, with research directions such as intelligent low-altitude systems, intelligent vehicles, intelligent oceans, intelligent transportation, and intelligent robots.

2. Artificial Intelligence Application Laboratory: Focusing on the multi-field application of AI technologies and research translation, with research directions such as reproductive health AI diagnosis and treatment, multi-modal medical image processing, lightweight AI algorithms, and edge computing.

3. Smart Healthcare Laboratory: Focusing on breakthroughs in key medical robot technologies, the implementation and translation of applications in multiple scenarios, with research directions such as exoskeleton robots, rehabilitation training robots, and surgical robots.

IV. Qualifications

1. Professional background:

i. Hold a doctoral degree in the following fields or related ones: control science and engineering, AI, robotics, mechanical engineering, electronic engineering, computer science, biomedical engineering, and transportation engineering；you are preferred if you have a multidisciplinary background.

ii. You are under 35 years old and are about to receive a doctoral degree or have received it within the past three years.

2. Position responsibilities:

i. Have strong engineering practical skills and industry-based thinking and are able to accurately identify technical pain points and design feasible solutions.

ii. Be capable of independently conducting high-level research and actively promoting the translation of research achievements made in the laboratory to practical applications.

iii. Be passionate about research and have the ability to actively cooperate with NUS GRTII and the laboratory on various matters.

iv. Have entrepreneurial aspirations or experience in project industrialization, and are intended to join our efforts for deeper integration of technologies and industries.

i. Have a strong commitment and an enterprising spirit to the research translation and industrial application of achievements.

ii. Have a sense of innovation and entrepreneurship, and an intention for technological entrepreneurship after completing the postdoctoral research.

V. Compensation and Benefits

1. Competitive compensation: Annual salary of no less than RMB 470,000 (pre-tax, including five social insurances and housing fund, housing allowance, performance bonuses, government subsidies, etc.).
