The AI Applications in Reproductive Medicine Project

Addressing the shared challenge of persistently declining fertility rates in both China and Singapore, the National University of Singapore and The First Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University have joined forces to form an international research team. Leveraging artificial intelligence technologies, the project aims to enhance the success rate of fertility treatments for women of advanced maternal age. Driven by the dual cores of “clinical big data and algorithmic innovation,” the initiative seeks to build an intelligent assisted diagnosis and treatment ecosystem. This project not only exemplifies the humanistic warmth of technology serving people but also provides a replicable and scalable model of collaborative innovation in medical technology between China and Singapore. It is poised to optimize the allocation of regional medical resources and promote the sustainable development of healthcare.

Moving forward, NUS GRTII will keep pace with the development of both Guangdong and Singapore. Seizing the opportunity presented by existing collaborations, the Institute will build an innovation ecosystem platform. Relying on NUS’s substantial strengths and abundant resources, NUS GRTII will continue to drive its three key engines: research translation, talent development, and innovation incubation. It will actively propel new technologies from the laboratory to the market, foster a closely integrated innovation ecosystem encompassing industry, academia, research, and application, and create more platforms for mutual engagement and collaboration between enterprises and talents in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and Singapore.
