The 2025 list of “Highly Cited Researchers” was released on November 12, 2025. We are proud to announce that five Principal Investigators from the NUS Guangzhou Research Translation and Innovation Institute have been named to this prestigious list: Professor Shuzhi Sam GE, Professor John Wang, Professor Qiu ChengWei, Professor Zhang Yang, and Assistant Professor Hou Yi.

2025 Highly Cited Researchers List
The “Highly Cited Researchers” list is released annually, with its data analysis based on an 11-year rolling period. It is compiled through a rigorous evaluation and selection process by bibliometric experts and data scientists from the Clarivate Institute for Scientific Information™ (ISI). This selection leverages citation data from the Web of Science Core Collection and qualitative analysis. The recognized researchers have all published multiple highly cited papers over the past 11 years, whose citation ranks place them in the top 1% within their respective fields in the Web of Science™. For the 2025 list, a total of 6,868 researchers (representing 7,131 instances) from over 1,300 institutions across 60 countries and regions were selected.
