The National University of Singapore (NUS) continues to secure its place in the top tier of global academia. In the Quacquarelli Symonds World University Rankings (QS WUR) by Subject 2026, NUS achieved a record 28 subjects placed in the global top 10, ranking fifth globally by number of entries, while 39 subjects were ranked in the global top 20, placing fourth worldwide. NUS is also the only university outside the US and the UK to attain this level of comprehensive top-tier excellence.
Across Asia, NUS maintains its leading position, with 35 subjects and four broad subject areas ranked first in the region.

Innovation often sparks at the intersection of disciplines. It is heartening to see that NUS's 39 subjects in the global top 20 span all five broad subject areas assessed by QS. Specifically, seven are in Arts & Humanities, six in Engineering & Technology, seven in Life Sciences & Medicine, six in Natural Sciences, and 13 in Social Sciences & Management.
Whether you aspire to explore human societal development, build sustainable urban engineering, or advance frontier medical research, NUS remains committed to its mission of delivering world-class higher education to the heart of Asia.
