On January 17, 2025, the “Unlock Entrepreneurship Opportunities In Greater Bay Area In China Info Session” was successfully held at the National University of Singapore. The event was jointly organized by NUS Guangzhou Research Translation and Innovation Institute, Guangzhou Development District Talent Service Group, NUS Technology Transfer and Innovation Platform (TTI), and BLOCK71, with strong support from Enterprise Singapore and the Institution of Engineers Singapore Accelerator (IES-INCA). The conference attracted over a hundred elite professionals from various industries, including corporate executives and technical specialists, industry association representatives, investment professionals, academic researchers, and university students.

From December 26, 2024, to January 6, 2025, the NUS Guangzhou Research Translation and Innovation Institute (NUS GRTII) and the NUS Global Relations Office jointly launched the “STEER Guangzhou and Shenzhen—Innovations to Fight Climate Change” study tour. Sixty-one NUS students visited Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Foshan, and other cities. Through a combination of classroom sessions, thematic seminars, corporate visits, and cultural immersion, the participants experienced firsthand the dynamic energy of Guangdong-Hongkong-Macao Greater Bay Area technology and innovation, while also absorbing the unique charm of Lingnan culture.

This article introduces the research on high-performance P-channel CuI thin-film transistors based on HBr gas treatment conducted by Associate Professor Chunxiang Zhu’s team. His research focuses on semiconductor devices and their processing technologies. Chunxiang Zhu, ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR, is an IEEE Fellow and also serves as a Ph.D. supervisor at the NUS Guangzhou Research Translation and Innovation Institute (NUS GRTII).

Recently, the 13th China Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition (Guangdong·Guangzhou Region) and Entrepreneurship Competition concluded successfully. This competition followed a model of "government guidance, public welfare support, and market mechanisms," focusing on national strategies and major needs, and emphasizing key areas of strategic emerging industries. It provided a platform for enterprises to showcase their technological innovation and entrepreneurial vitality. MicroVeNUS Pte. Ltd. Technology Co., Ltd., an incubated enterprise at the NUS Guangzhou Research Translation and Innovation Institute (NUS GRTII), delivered an outstanding performance and won third place in the startup group finals of the medical device industry competition, achieving an excellent second-place result.

The NUS President, Professor Tan Eng Chye, and the university's leadership team extended a warm welcome to the visiting delegation. The delegation also included Executive Vice Mayor of Guangzhou Chen Jie, Science and Technology Counsellor of the Chinese Embassy in Singapore Yu Haiying, President of the NUS GRTII Council and Emeritus Deputy President of the National University of Singapore Professor Hang Chang Chieh, Associate Vice President (Strategic Partnership) of NUS Professor George Loh, Director of the NUS GRTII Professor Meng Qiang, and Associate Director (Research) of NUS GRTII, Associate Professor Yu Haoyong.
